Since 2000, I built a factory that produced leather goods for some of the most recognized luxury houses in the world. Wallets, accessories, small leather goods. For the brands whose names you know without being told.
We knew what went into the products. And what didn't.
Over twenty-five years, the hands in this factory have made millions of pieces for the world's most recognized brands. Some of the people reading this right now have likely owned something we made. Without ever knowing it.
Over two and a half decades, I watched a quiet pattern repeat itself. Materials downgraded. Margins expanded. The story on the outside stopped matching what was inside.
The craft was still there. The integrity, less so. We kept producing. Because that was the business. But the question never left: what would I build if the only rule was that every material had to genuinely earn its place?
The market offered two paths.
Traditional leather. Beautiful when natural, like Italian vegetable-tanned Vacchetta, aging with character but giving up structurally over time.
Or the new wave. Ultra-minimal metal wallets. Modern. Efficient. And about as comfortable to sit on as a sharp-edged brick.
Nobody was building the third option. The classic bifold. Proven, familiar, effortless in a jacket pocket. Rebuilt from aerospace-grade materials.
That was the gap. That became COLDFIRE.
For years, COLDFIRE was built in parallel.
Not as a business decision. As a standard we couldn't apply anywhere else.
The last order shipped. The contracts closed.
30 of the best craftspeople I've ever worked with are now focused on one thing only. No more building other people's legacies. Every hour, every hand, every material. COLDFIRE.
That changes now.

The idea came on a long ride across Europe on my Ducati Diavel. Good roads, good company, and somewhere between the mountains and the coast the idea stopped being optional.
That motorcycle doesn't choose between beautiful and powerful. It insists on both, simultaneously. That became the founding constraint of COLDFIRE: a wallet that belongs in a boardroom and is built to the same material standard as the machines that carry people at 200 km/h.

Our factory is in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with a deep tradition in textile and leatherworking.
We're not here because it's convenient. We're here because this is where we built everything that came before. And where we intend to build everything that comes next.
